Its
dream of every sports person to get the reorganization on national level so
that appropriate person or team or agency can recognize your talent and you can
get all the needed and essential sports facilities to grow further in the field
of sports. In India everyone loves different sports as per their choice or
interest such as; Golf, Soccer, Athletics Rowing, Cycling, Swimming, Cricket,
Hockey, Motorcycling, Tennis and more. The most important thing is that in
India sports don’t have any religion or gender everyone is free to support
their choice of sports or play their choice of sports. In India there are many national sports awards, which reward
the best sports persons in related field. For every sports person sports and awards are their lifeline.
Few most important national sports
awards are following;
1.
Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award:
It
was launched in 1991-92 with aim to honor the most outstanding sportspersons and
enhance their social and financial status, so that they can get the desired
facilities to grow further in their personal and professional life. The reward
amount in Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award is Rs. 1.00 lakh. This award named
after the name of Rajiv Gandhi, who was the ex Prime Minister of India.
2.
Arjuna
Award:
It was instituted in the year 1961
and it is one of the highest national sports
award in which awardee receive a bronze statuette of Arjuna, cash prize
of Rs. 50, 000, a scroll with a suit, a blazer and a tie.
3.
Dronacharya Award:
It was instituted in 1985 to honor the best
coaches of different sports for their outstanding training and support to
players in national as well as in international level tournaments. In this each
and every awardee received a cash prize of Rs. 75,000/, a suit, a blazer, a tie
and a bronze statue of Dronacharya. This award named after the name of
Dronacharya, who was the Guru of Arjuna.
These
national sports awards have their
own importance in country as they are most notable sports award for any sports
person.
